While the lights might still work for the functions on the cupholder that actual switches in the cupholder may not. If you haven't already I would try swapping the cupholders to see if that makes a difference or not. If it's not the cupholder like the part # 195-387597 it's probably the power control box like the part # LC36FR which is for the Seismic line. You can try swapping those too to see if that allows the one side to work.

Sounds like possibly a loose connection to the cupholder wiring connectors of your Thomas Payne couch or the cupholder wiring is bad and would need to be replaced. For a replacement we have the part # 195-387597 which in the product pictures you can see how it connects to the couch's wiring.

I actually have a friend that has the now discontinued Thomas Payne Euro RV Recliner 195-000033 and we haven't had that problem at all. The cracking/pealing issue is just a lack of cleaning and conditioning of the leather. It always comes down to how well you care for the leather. I see it all the time in cars and trucks because they get SO HOT in the summer and EXTREMELY cold in the winter. RV furniture is the same way. Sounds like you replaced the module on your RV steps with a newer style which uses the opposite door magnet/sensor setup and is why your steps now operate in reverse. The newer style magnets you need then are the part # LC301694 which I attached an install video for.

The best way to carry a mobile ladder on the back of a trailer is with a fixed ladder like the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder part # LA-401 and a carrier like the Stromberg Carlson Lawn Chair Rack part # LA-104.
